"but I am holding forth"

I know this has been played by millions upon millions of VH fans all over the world over the past 3 days, but let's review...

1. Dave sounds nothing but positive and upbeat.
2. Dave is ready to tour right now. Dave is ready to work on an album right now.
3. He says he is holding forth and he's ready to go.

Translation: Dave ain't out, he's just rarin' to go.

Doesn't anyone else get the sense that Dave is definitely teasing us a little? We made some AMAZING music. The hands dropped off the clock, ladies and gentleman. This has teaser for what's to come written all over it. Plus, Van Halen's retort is typically cryptic, but the fact is that Dave working with Van Halen isn't a rumor anymore. It's a fact. 3 songs written. Haven't done anything for a while, but we don't know what constraints are holding these guys back. It might have absolutely nothing to do with Dave, and for my money, that's probably true.
Folks, I know I may sound like I'm being too optimistic and not realistic, but this whole saga ain't over just yet. Dave sounds way too happy (almost giddy) to not have something up his sleeve. You know, I'll give anybody on list an even money bet that since Dave recorded and posted his statement that somebody from Van Halen has called good ol' Diamond Dave to see what's really going on and vice versa. We'll see what goes down over the next couple of days and see what clarification we can get. THIS AIN'T OVER!!!!

What makes no sense is, if these songs are so great, why hasn't Eddie wanted to work with Dave again for 9 months?

To me, either the songs aren't great in Eddie's eyes, or they aren't getting along. Either way, 9 months is a long time between work periods if these numbers wind up being true.

I don't think the reunion is over either, but these things puzzle me. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
