Is anyone elses radio stations spreading false VH rumours and crap?

seems radio stations around the world can't play a vh song without commenting the situation. my stations are jumping on the "it didn't work out" story. can't wait to hear them backtrack when they have to play the first single.

On Friday the afternoon guy at 92.3 KROCK mentioned the Dweezil Zappa story and said the latest is a new VH album by July. Then he played Little Guitars.

God i really hate my local rock stations, now they are saying everyday "The new Van Halen recorded with David Lee Roth will be released on St. Patricks Day" I mean they say this every freakin time they play a VH song and i guess it could be possible but they have no proof or anything to back it up, i think its just bullshit they get from the internet. Shame Shame Shame. They have said ever since last summer, VH to play July 4, Dave has been kicked out, Dave has quit, Sammy is back, they've only got 2 songs, i mean its a new rumour everyday and all of them have proved to be false everytime. How about you people's stations? As out of hand as mine?

The only thing I've noticed on my station (97.1 "The Eagle" - Dallas, tx) lately is that they've been playing a classic Van Halen song approx. every hour or so for the last 2-3 weeks. It's gotten so noticable I've started timing them from time to time.

Y'know, I've been sitting around here, reading all these negative posts about people hearing "rumors on the radio from these DJ's who don't know crap" routine and I can't believe all the bullcrap I'm reading!! I know that maybe a lot of these jocks may open mouth, insert foot but good God Almighty, people!!! Be glad that ANYONE is STILL talking about VH these days!!! I would bet my bottom dollar that everyone on here who bitches about their radio station talking about rumors they heard would bitch EVEN MORE if said station just ignored saying anything even related to VH after they'd played any type of VH music!!!

I know we're all getting pissy in our extended wait, but quit shooting the messenger! You all piss and moan when you DON'T hear anything and you piss and moan when you DO hear anything! Take the info you hear with a grain of salt and chill out! I bet the majority of you will learn about the VH reunion from that station you just love to hate right now. Be glad that anyone still cares enough about these rumors to even report them. Imagine how dull your lives would be if you'd never even heard these "rumors"...November 1998 would have been a LOOOOOOOONG time ago!

It's been established by an overwhelming majority on here that radio people don't know shit. Well with an attitude like that, some of the few radio people who STILL come by here may decide to keep any thing they might know to themselves. Quit biting the hand that's just trying to feed you a few table scraps.

What's worse....hearing the same rumors on the radio you read about here on the Links or seeing a video from the guy who holds the key to it all and not hearing a blessed thing?? Pick your poison...

Yep apparently KLOS here in LA reported this morning a March release with DLR on lead vocals. A guy in my work ran over to tell me, so I didn't actually hear it.

Ok My turn to chime in here, A couple of weeks ago I was driving home from work and was listening to 101 KUFO out here in Portland and the Jock comes on and says..."Coming up next, Alice and Chains and Some Brand New Van Halen." I about wrecked my car. So Im driving along and Alice and Chains comes on then Van Halen, it was not new........it was Running with the Devil. I was pretty pissed. So I get home and I pick up the phone and was lucky enough I guess to talk to the Jock and this is what he said.
"Dude, Im sorry about that....Everybody here is totally stoked about it and I let it slip." I asked him when are we getting the new single and his reply...."In March from what they are telling me."
So maybe this March thing has somes legs. I dunno.
