In the Gulf War, they blasted 5150 into Iraqi camps to deprive them of sleep. I remember reading about it in the paper.

I remember when we went down to get Noriega, they were outside his compound and waiting for him to give up, they had spotslight on the building and blasting Vanhalen. I remember reading that one, I also remeber and article with the band and thay said before the gulf war navy pilots asked the band for music so they could listen to it prior to bombing runs. Does anyone remeber that?

I,m Pretty sure it was 'Panama' when the went after Noriega. Or maybe to get the troops ready too kick some ass. Maybe both.

i dont know about blasting VH into the camps, but i do know for a fact that the Navy fighter pilots got cranked up on VH during their sorties(bombing runs).

I heard that it was AC/DC used to pound Noriega. Could have been Van Halen too. I've also heard of the military using Metalica also for strategies like that.
