MTV's "Sammy Hagar Announces Tour Dates, Addresses Roth Rumors"

AGAIN - believe nothing until you hear it from Van Halen.
Sammy hasn't been in the band for over 4 years.
And if a box set was due for release with these supposed 4 songs, why did the remasters come out the way they did with very little press coverage and individually????

Funny how of all the rumors floating around out there, MTV only posts the ones that are negative towards VH. They were the first ones to jump on the cancer story, and now they print Hagar's comments about the supposed status of the band.

That kind of selective journalism really pisses me off.

I don't want to believe it's true either.

But what if Sammy has actually talked to the Van Halen camp because they are releasing a box set and needed something from him before they could release it??? I don't know what they would need from him, just thinking out loud here.

Anyway, I guess just like everything else, don't trust the news until it actually happens or is confirmed by Van Halen.

Sammy Hagar new on MTV?

Well hell, that means one thing and only one thing... it must hurt someone they don't consider "pop" music anymore, who they are afraid they alienated, and who they would give anything to keep from being back on top just so the boys can't spite them.

Face it, no way in hell MTV would touch Sammy with a 10 foot pole anyway. He's not in a five vocal harmonic boy band that sings songs written by executives for the benefit of their creator.

There's a big difference between MTV and MTV Online. They even say it themselves, that they cover bands/news on MTV Online that they don't think is important/popular enough to put on the actual MTV. That's why you see stories on Hagar, Halen, Motley Crue, and sometimes Poison on the MTV Online. Realistically, they should change their name and disassociate themselves from MTV altogether. It's like, these bands aren't good enough to be covered on TV, but you're covering them here?

if a box set was going to be released we would all know about it now. because right now is when record stores are pre-buying their stock for the Xmas holidays and everything that's coming out in the next 3 months or so has been announced. and no record label in their right mind would release a box set like that excpet for during the Xmas holiday when people are buying gifts. so unless we're gonna be waiting another year till Xmas 2001 don't believe the box set BS.

and by the way who really thinks Hagar would wanna see ed al & mike reunite with Dave and have it all work out. that'll just dimish his place in music history even more.
