VH on VH1 top 80 Videos of the 80's

They are ranked #4, and will be on around 9:30 ET time if anyone reads this in time. They spend about 54 minutes on each artist, discussing them and the video, which for them is Jump.

#3 - Madonna 'Like a Prayer'
#2 - Peter Gabriel 'Sledgehammer'
#1 - MJ 'Billi Jean'

Also, HFT was at #40

I turned to VH1 right when they started talking about Jump--what a coincidence. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Anyway, Roger Taylor of Queen and John Mellencamp praised VH, which was pretty cool.

"Jump" had no business being #4 in that countdown, but cool nonetheless. VH was also one of only 3 artists that had more than one video on there as far as I could tell, Madonna and Michael Jackson being the other two.

i know where people are coming from when they say JUMP didn't deserve to be that high. but keep in mind they said over & over the chart also had to do with impact on an artists career and as much as some don't wanna believe it JUMP opened VH up to a whole new audience. I mean for those of you who were old enuf in 1984 to remember VH were the shit as far as Rock bands went. And JUMP really opened them up to the whole top 40 crowd as well. i remember being in high school and it was like EVERYONE who was anyone had to go see VH.

aside from that i find it really hard to believe neither California Grils or Just A Gigolo didnt make it. regardless of how you feel about Dave, ya gotta admit they were great videos and their influence can still be seen in videos today...

To bad that M-TV banned one on the coolest video made (oh) pretty woman,in the early 80's. The reason was to much violent's towards woman.
And one of my favorite video's was the (So this is love)one. Just a live clip of the boys doing what they did best LIVE concert!!!
