Napster Scenario

I'm telling you guys, one of the main reasons why VH haven't said anything is because they are waiting for Napster to be shut down. Something tells me VH is not for Napster. They don't want their new material to be swapped all over the net for free. Just a theory I've had for a while now.

Not out of the question by any means. I think there are other things going on, but that is a legit thougt.

Even if you're correct, and they are waiting to release their music until Napster is dealt with, that shouldn't stop them from making announcements as to who the band consists of.

I'm inclined to think that the Napster issue isn't of any importance to VH, but like everything else on Planet Van Halen, you never know.

I've already been kicked off of Napster, so VH should go ahead and announce already. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

It isn't stopping N'Shit from selling 8 gazillion albums. If their stuff is good enough, people will buy it. With a band like VH, people that know who the hell they are to start with will buy VH. Most fans of VH that are still around are die hard and will buy it anyway. Napster isn't much of a force anymore anyway.

And who knows how long before Napster is shut down. It will probably be several years, or more likely, even longer.
I sure hope we don't have to wait that long to hear new VH.
And I agree w/Glenn, at least throw us a bone on who is behind the mic.

This doesn't make sense to me. Touring makes more money than album sales for a hot ticket like a VH reunion. Summer tours make more than tours at other times of the year.

Would VH miss their big money-maker just because a few folks might copy the tunes?

Frankly there aren't that many artists that are "for" Napster. I am sure VH isn't for them either.

I think, "Eternally Pissed off Bitch" (read: Alanis Morisette) supports digital song swapping.

Anyway, Napster is going to suck real bad come July when it goes subscription AND they add the new filters in that compare song structure, not nomenclature.
