Shepard Smith just reported on the sam and Dave tour to happen...based on Sammy's site...

Maybe some national attention to stir the pot..it's about time the boys own up to their blatent disreguard for the fans.

Every radio station around has reported the connection between Sammy and DLR and all have blown it WAYYYY out of context....Sammy's site is the only concrete word out there.... T.V will speculate even more than radio and then the public will get more invloved...just wait for the rush of new people on these boards to increase the rumors and speculations! I can't wait!

Not so. Dave's drummer, Ray Luzier, confirmed that Dave and Sammy are talking. Which is exactly what Sammy's site said.

The people that are claiming a tour is already booked are the ones talking out their asses.

Coming from FOX, it definatley must be overblown.

Sammy Tour: Anti-climactic
Dave Tour: Anti-climactic

Sam & Dave Tour: Somewhat curious, but still rather anti-clamactic.

A Van Halen with Dave or Sam or both tour: Truly Earth Shattering, hands falling off the clock, Ford Turns Republican BIG MAJOR NEWS.

What to likely expect from the Sam & Dave tour?
2 distinctly different VH cover bands that might mix in some of their own material.

Dude, you know a tour with just Sammy back in VH is not Earth Shattering....With Dave it is, and even with Dave and Sam, not not Sammy alone...

I think I might be in the minority here. First Hagar's solo band is not a VH cover band. They might do 5-6 VH songs a night. Hagar's solo material makes up the balk of his sets. I'm betting the DLR brings out some more solo material this time around also. Hopefully anyways. Secondly, while I would like to see DLR back in VH, I do not want to see a Sam and Dave VH tour. I think that kind of setup is a logistical nightmare. VH was playing shows that lasted 1:55-2:00 hours on the 3 tour. And that included 20 minutes worth of drum and guitar solos. So what are you going to get on a Sam and Dave VH tour? 30-45 minutes worth of each singer. I cant see how this is workable. And as much as some people seem to dream, I cant see anyway that VH is going to play a 3 hour show. My other reason is, that kind of setup would be a one off thing, I still think VH has some good years left. that kind of tour would be the end.

The reason you are hearing about the tour is because Sam and Dave have hired a reputable manager. Let this be a lesson to all you budding young rock stars. Fire the lead singer as your manager and find someone that doesn't have anything to do with your group to run your business. The only difference between the crappy band on the radio and the crappy band at the frat party gig is representation.

Sam and Dave have both posted stuff on their sites for years that didn't get media attention. The FOX story, tho it sited Redrocker's website, also came with a 10 sec slick video production piece with shots of Sammy and Dave (and not the new Hong Kung Davey or In the Navy Davey).
I have a feeling the boys at FOX didn't put that video spot together at all much less JUST to report that the two MAY be getting together.
