I like the look! Obviously it's in its early stages, but what you've got so far looks good, bro.

Achievements:
I few constructive criticisms:
You may want to make it a bit smaller, at least 1024 x 768 or less. 1200 x 1000 is still a bit too high for some people's monitor resolution.
It's hard to read some of the text. I'd use a larger font size or a easier-to-read font on the links and stuff like "Best viewed..."
The entire site is one large Flash file? I'm glad you're at least detecting whether or not people have it installed. Don't forget to include some meta tags for keywords and a site description.
What's with the flashing green square?
Can't wait to see it when it's closer to having some more content put up. Scott Roberts

"it's designed to cover any resolution, hence the 1600 x 1200"

"to me the larger font would look dorky"

"this is just a demo site, not a real site as of yet"
What's with the flashing green square?
"a activation light, purely for looks"

Good looking site. I had to chuckle at the small font complaint. I've designed a few sites in my day and it's always the same: designers love small fonts, users don't. Having said that, I would keep the small font. It's a better look and it is legible. Leave the big ass fonts to the Amazons and Yahoos of the world.
Since the site's Flash, one thing I thought would be cool is to rotate among a few main graphics so you get a new picture of Dave on a repeat visit.
Here's a good example of what I'm talking about - Link
Hit the refresh button repeatedly and you'll see how the image changes whenever you return.
Good to see the 'Army' returning. Let me guess, the official launch date will coincide with the invasion of Iraq?"Some men are born to greatness, some women have greatness thrust up in them."<br /> <br />Diamond Dave

Holy shit what a toupee'. Dear Lord Dave, what have you become? Cool website, who's the dork in the middle of the page?
You know the best tone I ever had was with that little bandmaster cranked to 10. Edward Van Halen, 1980, Guitar Player Magazine.
