Back when the Sam and Dave Tour was on.. Dave stopped in Detroit at W.R.I.F. fm... he joined the morning crew...and with a guy with an Acoustic guitar proceeded to play VH songs "MAN OH MAN"!!! was that the biggest kick to my ears ive had in year's, he would rant a little and sing a song and change it a little ...but shit it was GOLD BABY...what i wonder is if some how Dave could do an alblum of VH hit's in the same style unplugged...just him and a guitarist...and let him run free... is that something worth his time ...or our's for that matter??? cause i have heard that EDDIE would never do an unplugged cause as he see's it it was never written that way!

If Dave did record an acoustic album with some of the old VH hits, and a few of his own, I'd buy it.

I'd love to hear Dave do some of the old songs with just an acoustic guitar. He can give his bluesy flair to it.

    Agreed.
I think Dave should do a VH1 Storytellers.
That would be too cool - as long as he
    unplugged his wardrobe, as well...

(tinkle-tinkle) That was the sound of the two drops of pee my bladder just released after I read that and began laughing hysterically. It struck me as that damn funny.

I have one of his acoustic radio shows on cd. I forget which station it was from. I too think an acoustic set from Dave would be interesting.

Speaking of acoustic...Ed once said in an interview once that he wasn't comfortable doing a lot of acoustic shit because he didn't want to appear to be doing the Jimmy Page thing. Thats unfortunate. I'm all for the Dave acoustic project but I would love to hear more acoustic shit from Ed.

I actually had the pleasure on the Skyscraper Tour of seeing one of the few show in which they did an acoustic set, but they were covers, Wake Up Little Susie and a song that had a kind off mexican flair to it, think it was called I Saw A Face. I bought the bootleg because I liked the show so much. Dave signs better acoustically because he isn't running around like a madman and getting out of breath. I think a lot of the time Dave's vocal problems are due to the fact he is out of breath!

I have a recording of Dave on the Howard Stern show friday September 6th. It rocks. I really enjoy the acoustic stuff. In fact I was told that this was the last radio spot. During the conversation Howard has the band play a few songs that Dave says he hasn't played acoustical yet. So look out for that mp3. Its on Kazaa. I have it but no idea where to put it!

I was listining that morning to Drew & Mike. It was kind of cool, but everything was all vegas-ed up night some night club routine. While the songs did sound cool, Dave cheeseball comments started to get annoying. Shut up and sing.
Man, all I can do is make music and put it out, and if people like it, they like it, and if they don't, they will sooner or later.- EVH
