RIP

I havent posted in quite a while but I have been keeping track of what's going on and not until this moment have I felt Halen is done as a band. There is no good news, there just isnt any news at all. For a band that seems to be the death sentence. The once mighty Van Halen has been turned into a discussion board....where people argue about No News for a couple of years, it's pretty funny and sad when you think about it.

I have loved Van Halen since as long as I can remember it's why I play the guitar, it's why I love rock music. They have shown no courtesy to their fans by giving us any information...I mean if the band is finished why not just say something and let us go. Im frustrated, Im sad, and I miss Van Halen. But hey they owe nothing to me and Im done holding out for them...Im not the only one many of us are just letting go of hope for the band....

you said it.. but i'm not giving up.. i love music, i have to listen to it everyday. but they have giving us the ability to sing to their music and they inspired so many bands and people. and the tribute bands, there are a lot. and i think if Van Halen bandmembers think about what they are about to throw away, they would realize all us fans have done is enjoy their music, but their music, go to the concerts, bought all the stuff and they are about to throw it all away? what are they doing if they just give up? why? they don't like us, or what? well they should..

i'm sure all of them want to spend time with their families, but i can't picture eddie driving wolfie to school talking about girls.. thats just crazy. and i know alex doesn't liketo make public appearences, but why though? . and everything about the rumors about mikey and sammy, and daves new guitarist and people quitting his band and stuff. its all just happening so fast, and it won't slow down.

Peavey just announced an amazing contest to win Eddie's line of guitars.
DLR is desperate to get back into VH.
We are desperate for a new line of blazing songs from the greatest band in the world.
At least we are not Hendrix fans, SRV fans, Randy Rhoades fans, Ray Gillen fans, Doors fans, Joplin fans, Skynyrd fans that think we have no chance of a new album from the person.artist/band they love.

I'm just disappointed in the band. They don't owe us anything, but I'm disappointed they don't want to take the high road and go out on top. I guess that's my problem for putting them on such a high pedestal in first place.

I been with VH through every era, I love the band, but, I dont think their comin back this time. They got too much stuff goin in their lives. I do expect to see Mike Anthony somewhere down the road.. but the VH bros. I think they are done. They got money, they dont need us anymore...
