It's pure unabashed, out of control, free-wheelin' DLR. Seeing this video it's clear who brought the fun, games and X-rated attitude to the VH party. It's a thrill to see the inner workings of the Roth psyche coming to a boil and spilling over the rim staining the shag carpet.

And you can tell he had a blast putting it together. It's a frenetic mix of the bizarre, camp, and burlesque.

There's slight hint of amateurness in some of the cuts that was calculated perfectly to give the viewer the illusion that you are seeing the results of an impromptu video documentation of a summer time bash at Camp David.

Like William Castle's final film Shanks starring Marcel Marceau, David Lee Roth's No Holds Bar B Q, written, directed, and produced by Dave himself, is like the work of a crazed avant garde French director exiled to creating his filmic oddities in the French Riviera. It's is kind of anti-Hollywood while at the same time being as innately Hollywood as Diamond Dave himself.

And the music, including a few covers, is top notch.

Just think about it. It's the intersection of this kind of DLR zaniness with the serious musical approach of Edward Van Halen that still makes the concept of a reunion incredibly exciting.

I would only assume that this video would follow in the footsteps of Dave's stunning solo career

Any NYC Dance remixes or duets with Travis Tritt on this DVD?
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

Okay, I think you can take your nose out of Roth's ass now. It's nice to know that his publicist posts here now. If I want a commercial, I'll go listen to Gene Simmons or something. And I think you need to go to an E.N.T. specialist to get that wax out of your ears, or write a dictionary to redefine "top notch", cause that crap that's posing as music has gots to go!

No - why not try Dave's 1994 release 'Your Filthy Little Mouth' if thats what your after.

    Sarcasm turned off:

Mr. templeman, could you please do us a favor and start posting these topics where they belong, namely in the Opinions forum! Thanks.

Could go to the Videos forum I guess, but since it's not commercially available, I'm going to send it to the Opinions forum.

Personally, I'd love to see this video released on DVD, though I'm losing faith that it's going to be.
