Anyone else think this is one of VH's greatest songs? Maybe it's just me. VH II was the first record I listened to by the boys and WIL just blew me away.
"You gotta do me a favor and let these (people) have a good time, alright? A little bit of (vulgar term for breast) and their hands in the air ain't gonna hurt anybody" - Nikki Sixx
"Van Halen is 'Get the fuck off the sidewalk if ya don't like our drivin' kinda music!" - David Lee Roth
"We get to the hotel, there's people partyin' in the parking lot, people gettin' down in the elevator, wow! I swear to God I had this one chick, this chick was poundin' on my door, she was kickin' and screamin' at my door 'til about 6:30 this morning. Finally, I just said, 'Fuck it!' and let her out of my room!" - David Lee Roth

This IS one of their greatest (Lesser known) songs....
And that inro alone is KILLER! So sweet sounding...almost sounds like water trickling off smooth limestone. "Sorry about the mess..."<br /><br />~Han Solo Episode IV

Yeah, it's a great song....and the intro is my all-time favorite passage from Sir Edward. Glad others feel the same way.

Women In Love is definitely an underrated song. The intro is amazing.

Love the intro and Love the song.
The intro though really is one of the best Ed has played for sure. This is one of those songs that only Dave could sing. IMO !

I agree, the intro is unbelievable. The analogy about the 'water trickling off smooth limestone' says it all.

I'd say women in love & Beautiful Girls are the best "Two Finishing Songs" in the VH catalogue.
I REALLY love the WIL intro though. Amazing! It'll all end in beers...

I'd love to hear Eddie play a mixture of the intro of Women In Love and the two handed tapping from the intro of Mean Street. I think those would weave in and out of each other well.
It's a great song, a very cool vibe to it that is unique to the Van Halen catalogue.

Hell yeah ... definitely a classic VH tune. Very underrated. To me, the entire second album is pretty underrated. Then again, it'd be hard not to be coming after the monster first album.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne
"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello
"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

it is awesome. the last two tunes on II rule, and are great finishers.
the intro is awesome, and the analogy is also very well put.
van halen II has a unique feeling to it, it is such a relaxed party album and a hard core party album at the same time. ahh, i could go on for ever...

Anyone listen to the 4 Bob Rivers and Twisted Radio Christmas albums? A lot of those songs are really funny.
