It's a tough one but I guess OU812. It followed a similar pattern to 5150 but fell short in terms of production and liveliness. I would really like OU812 better if it was remastered.

It's hard to decide, but I'd also say OU812. The songs are good, but the production is terrible. It needs to be remixed and remastered.

Balance is my least favorite. Although I really love it, I think it's the weakest because of the instumentals like strung out.

I'd say 5150.
Okay, go ahead and shoot...
Just the drum sound, and "Love Walks In" & "Dreams" really spoil it for me.
I can work through bad production y'know? But those two songs are just like falling into a vat of marshmallow and being forced to eat your way out.
...IMO... natch It'll all end in beers...

Probably Balance. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the tension in the music.

I love all the Sammy-era albums but if I had to pick one that I thought was the weakest, it would probably be "Balance."

OU812. Weak production. Mikey, where are you? Awfully similiar to VH3, except I like VH3 more than OU812.

I would say 5150 but overall it's a good album. To bad it's got filler like "get up", cheese ballads like "love walks in" and songs that are mediocre like "good enough."
F.U.C.K. IMO is a great rock album. I know many people here dislike the production but I love it. I love the huge EQing of bass, thick guitar tone, big drums and grooving bass (yes, I can hear the bass on this one.)
Balance is another good one although it has a few sore spots such as "Can't Stop Lovin' You", and "Strung Out/Not Enough."
I'd have to go with OU812 here. It's a really diverse album but the production isn't too good and some of the songs are just ridiculous (i.e. "Source of Infection" and "Sucker in a 3 piece."

Sounds like they dragged the master tapes through mud before putting it on the album.

for me, it's FUCK. which is kinda harsh, because there are some good songs on it. i liked ed's guitar tone, for the most part, but some of the songs were badly written, as in "when's sammy gonna think of some real lyrics?" as well: spanked. worst song ever. 'nuff said.
i can deal with the bad production of ou812 because there are alot of good tunes on it.

OU812.
Not only did the production suck, but so did the majority of the songs.
When It's Love (which has begun to grate on me)
Source Of Infection
Feels So Good
Black And Blue
Sucker In A Three Piece
A Apolitical Blues
All pretty much filler, to me.
After VH3, OU812 is my least favorite VH album.
"You are the McCarthy of this board. The witch burner." - strungout, on yours truly
"Only Eddymon would claim victory during a FOUR game losing streak." - OLO
"Did I not say, 'I think we should shoot him!' I did. Double rainbow on this end. I require a high five. Out."- track 5, on the delicate art of banning
"If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire..."

I'd have to take OU812 on this one. Some great songs, but the sound totally brings it down. Having said that, I think Balance is the only Sammy VH album that really NAILED the sound.
I really can't understand why When It's Love is so popular. I like the ballads, but this is probably the weakest one that VH ever did.
Plus, Sammy really dropped the ball with several of his lyrics on OU812; Sucker, Source, Black and Blue. Funny too, because Mine All Mine have some of the best lyrics Sammy has ever written.
Not a bad album, but the weakest of the four; and weaker than VH 3.
