Have been moved by Little Dreamer, Spanish Fly, Year to the Day, Love Walks In, When It's Love, Not Enough, Black and Blue just to name a few.

I think the best (emotional) Van Halen lyrics are unquestionably the Sammy songs that deal with religion. Those lyrics are so cool but no VH song has ever moved me like your talking about. Strangely enough one of the most emotional sounding songs for me is 316 (fuck version) even no there is no words.

VH takes me to the other end of the emotional scale. Most of the music makes me smile and drive a bit faster.

I tend to agree with MikeL Sometimes, horny comes into the picture, but never have been moved in a way like E.C.'s tears in heaven.

I've never had VH bring me to tears, but I do find many of the songs cause me to feel emotional. Most of it makes me feel joyous and happy, but when I'm upset I like to listen to Humans Being, Mine All Mine and Feelin.

to but VH never has......316 has a lot of power....but it makes me cause you can feel the love Ed has for his child.....

"Once" comes to mind......

Sure! Black and Blue, Sinners Swing, Bottoms up, Good enough, Poundcake etc. Hell, sometimes even Women in Love What, did you think that "VH" themselves made me horney?? No worries here my manLOL!

In the video Can't stop lovin you, there's a part where they show the labrador on the headstone. That brings me to tears. I had a dog that looked just like that about 10 years ago and i had to put her down because of her age.

I suppose that I must I agree with Glen quite a bit. I guess what I really meant was what songs peak your emotions, especially those of a deep nature. And yes Once is a song I left out. But I did say just a few.For info purposes, from the WRIF radio TOp 500 songs Van Halen has finished #1 for the two years they have been doing it. 1999 showed 37 songs in the 500 and 2000 showed 36, leaving Van Halen the band with the most for the last two years running. Beating the nearest competitor Led Zeppelin by 10 both years.

I don't know any of Sammy's stuff, but Dave's songs get me very pumped. Most of his songs are very positive and have an up beat to them.
The only thing that makes me want to cry when I listen to classic VH is how much I miss Dave being together with them. Not to mention the desire for new music.

The song "Once" especially near the end when Ed is playing that warm guitar sound and Gary...I can't explain it I love it. Also "Love Walks In" but I like the second solo Sammy does on Live Without A Net.
