Additional remasters?

Any word if WB is planning to release remasters of 5150 and OU812? I think, in particular, 5150 could benefit from a new treatment.

I don't think there's any plan to do them. But then again, even if there was, neither VH nor WB would likely be very quick to let us know about it. They're kinda quiet that way.

I'd really like to hear OU812 sound better, but then I think it really needs to be remixed to bring the bass up in the mix.

How far in advance were the current remasters announced? I didn't know anything about them until the end of August.

However.. I agree, remixing is definitely needed to boost Mike's bass. I really don't know how VH let their albums be released with such a tiny bass.

they are definately releasing remasteres up to the f.u.c.k. album. i think that the sammy era albums will be release with the second batch of remasters, which includes albums from other artists such as dire straits, doors, eric clapton, etc. as to when that is, who knows.

5150 and OU812 are obviously in need of remastering.

I think it will be a few years before we see it happen though.

OU812 sometimes sounds like it was recorded under water.

Seriously though, I'd wager 5150 and OU812 are on the list to be done, but probably not as high a priority. I'd imagine since 5150 has sold practically 6 million they'd definitely do that one.
