I purchased this DVD last night to see what the buzz about the Van Hagar era was all about. I am a Dave era fan and saw VH five times with Dave and lost interest when Sammy came along. I never purchased any Sammy era albums. I thought I would give it a chance by checking out a live performance. All I can say about the performace is that it is crap. All of bubble gum Bon Jovi-ish tunes with Sammy running around like a dork. Poundcake probably rocks the hardest and the DVD may be worth the 20 bucks for Eddie's solo. Sammy is a great vocalist but the bottom line is that this not Van Halen. I embarrassed to have this in my collection. I will mail this DVD at no charge to anyone that wants it. Let me know.

Hey could you send that DVD to me? I only have that concert on VHS. I will send you my address. Anyway, this is a better topic for songs/albums so I will move it there.
Right Now you're reading my post!

If you're a buyer, I will sell it to you for $10. Otherwise, Yankee was first and can have it at no cost assuming he is the USA.

I have to reply here because as a fan of all eras, and a fan since the beginning, I have to tell you that you really picked the wrong live show to watch to get a first impression of "Van Hagar". You may be a Sammy hater from the start, I don't know. But if you check out Live Without a Net, i'm sure you'd agree that even if you still hate Van Halen with Sammy, you will definately admit that it's an awesome performance. And if you think the guitar solo in RH,RN was good...
Borrow or steal a copy, I don't care, but at least watch LWAN once. It's night and day better then RH,RN.

Running around like a dork? A) this was early 90's, everyone did that.
B) IF DLR trying to dance and do the splits on this last tour isn't considered "Dorky?" then I don't know what is. LOL

Nope. The album version is tougher and the lyrics are better . Like Midnight Phil said, “it struts” like Tony Manero in “Saturday Night Fever”. “Fate is my pimp But she was cool”
