I was driving home last night, flipping stations when I hit the middle of 'Hot For Teacher'. When the song was over, a promo came on saying, "Threesome Thursday". Next thing I hear is the intro to MWM. I can't remember the last time I heard that song on the radio. Probably 4 years ago or so.
Hopefully, we can hear it live someday.

Ya know, I was thinkin about that a lot a couple weeks ago. Odd that such a killer tune never gets any play.

A lot of programmers and DJ's basically black-listed VH after the MTV thing. It's a shame to let a great track sit on the shelves because of a grudge.

As for the song, to me, the best things about it are Mike's backing vox in the choruses and Ed's bizarro guitar in the outro (which, IMO, is one of his most creative, albeit non-flashy, guitar excursions of his career).

MWM simply kicks ass. One of my favorites with Dave, and that's saying something. I remember when it first came out, that it was getting all kinds of air-play on the rock stations in my area. But as soon as the reunion didn't happen, they pulled it. [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] It IS ashame that it doesn't get played anymore. I mean, what the hell, you still hear other Dave-era songs on the radio even though they're not together anymore. Why should MWM be any different? Oh well, I guess I'll just keep jamming it on BOV1. I guess I'm the only one that has heard it more that once. Earlier this year. Pretty bad...earlier this YEAR. Don't like the song too well, but it's better that what's on now.

I haven't been lucky enough to hear the 'elusive' Me Wise Magic on the radio, but once I did turn on the radio to hear the dj say "...And that was Van Halen with Me Wise Magic..." Oh well, someday...

I dont hear much of it on the radio anymore, especially since the 96' fiasco.

However, Hard Radio plays it as well as CGTSNM. Its always killer at work when Hard Radio plays either one of these tracks.

No doubt MWM is one of my favs.

Well, the fine residents of Mid-Missouri USED to be able to hear that song in regular rotation on the station I was program director on. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] I had that thing in a medium to medium-heavy rotation. I really thought it deserved to be played that much.

They don't play it anymore though. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

Too bad.

Just hearing that song as it fades out makes you really think of what might have been...

The "magic" WAS there, IMO.
