I’ve got a few videos from the show, but there aren’t really many good ones yet. I didn’t even put up a couple of them just because they didn’t sound very good. And the Summer Nights version I’ve used so far is cut off in the intro but it sounds way better than the one that’s full.

Hopefully more will pop up at some point today.

No videos to share, but holy shit, what a show! No, it wasn't Van Halen, but it was pretty fucking close. 90's VH, anyway.

I've seen it mentioned elsewhere, but I too felt it odd that other than the music itself, the Frankie guitar, and the video stock used through the show, Sammy didn't acknowledge Ed. Mikey gave a shoutout to Ed n ATBL, but Sammy didn't say his name once. There were a few times I thought he was going to. "Tonight we are celebrating...the music of our lives."

Regardless, the music spoke for itself. Sammy put together a great band for this. The vibe was there. I got emotional a few times, because of what that time period meant for me, and also remembering we'll never see Ed up there again.

Satch did a fantastic job. Way better than I was expecting. He didn't even try to play note-for-note, and it made the show feel more organic. You missed Ed, but unlike with Vic, the the music didn't feel like it was missing something. It sounded different, of course, but not shockingly so. Satch nestled into the Eddie pocket quite well.

Great show, and I'm so glad I didn't pass on it. My wife and I have seen many, many shows from many different bands over the years, including VH, and she said this was her favorite show out of them all. Fantastic experience. 5-stars. Would recommend.

I think the reason that Sam doesn’t really mention Ed too much is he’s trying not to exploit this whole thing. People have already accused him of cashing in on Ed’s death, so he’s not gonna sit and make everything about Ed. I think it’s more to be a celebration of the music.

I guarantee you if Sam mentioned Ed every other second people would bitch. I think he’s doing the right thing and just making it about the music. It’s the totally right approach.

And there’s enough VH imagery at the show from what I’ve seen. That’s enough.

I know Sam on the 5150 clip didn't say 1996. That's bad, even for Sam.

Whole decade off. [emoji3]
