I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. But, I wanna take the time to tell you thank you for this place. It is an awesome site. I have learned so much history of Van Halen that I never knew before by reading various threads and posts from VHLinks. Although, I haven't been a member here quite 4 years, I feel like I'm losing a best friend. I know we could be losing a great wealth of information. Quite often I sit on the sidelines and witness the friendship and comradery of many longtime members. That in itself is a hell of an exprience. I got to be a member of this site and experience the tension, anticipation, and thrill of a new VH album release. Then, experience everyones reaction to the album. I was amazed how the set list was tracked for every show on VHLinks. I even got to relay the set list as it went down for the two shows I attended. I cannot imagine another album and tour without this place.

Very cool thread and opening post ! A lot of us feel the same way .

This the THE best VH site around IMO - although the VHND and Halen.com are both fantastic too . I've learned so much here and have been lucky enough to be a part of the action . The huge amount of VH pedigree is astounding , as well as the fact that many of our posters/members are amazing musicians and luthiers in their own right .

The fact that the site owner and mods are active and engaging is just another added bonus !!! Certain threads/topics get heated briefly , yet there's very little of the goofball mentality of "let's drag this out and harass someone for months on end ... " Refreshing to say the least :)

The fact that ALL eras of VH get their due is also a breath of fresh air .
I've seen/heard/learned a lot about my favorite band that I didn't know before . The insight and guitar advise from some of our esteemed players has been invaluable . I truly hope this great forum continues for years to come .

A heartfelt CHEERS to all who are here for the right reasons , and a special nod and high-five to Brett - for running this premiere Van Halen fan page . Major kudos all around :headbang::thumb:

My nine year tenure on this site was interrupted for a year, but Brett gave me a second chance and I want to thank him publicly for that. Thank you, Brett. This is the best Van Halen site on the Internet and I am thrilled to be a daily part of the celebration of our favorite band, in all of it's versions.

This site has been part of my life for the past 10 years, I check it daily because it's the best group of VH fans, and people in general, on the net!
