These vids are awesome. Dave is a trip. lol Love it!:headbang:
Little more to it than Dave just wanting to destroy dressing rooms.

Very interesting video. This sheds light in why the no brown M&Ms clause was in the tour rider, especially when damage to facilities was involved ($470K to arena in New Mexico).

Sorry Dave, not sure I buy this entirely...if every one knew about the brown M&M thing ( and it was famous back in the day) there would be no security in having that as your sign that the promoter had not read the contract thoroughy
there would have to be a different "cue" in different contracts to assure that

The safety side of the reason for the Brown MnMs has become more prevalent in the last couple years. The CBC (Canada's equivalent of the BBC), and considered the "educated" person's choice for radio, ran a story on this last year. The announcer simply said "Genius and Brilliant" when they explained Dave's reason for placing that clause in the contract.
Anyway, great to hear it told from the originator's perspective.
Man, we're getting so much! It's like they're trying to make up for the last fifteen years.

They didn't have the internet and texting and Facebook, and all that, back then to share the message. And what promoter cared about the promoter in the next town, anyway?
But maybe Dave told that story with a wink, that we didn't see behind his glasses...

I don't think they had this rider for years, though it may seem like it with all the press it received. Pre internet etc., it would probably be good for a few months at least, many even a whole tour.
If they were smart enough to come up with it originally, I am sure they put other ones in there, this one just became famous.

Dave. Oh Dave. Genius.
Wow. Dave mentioned Maple Leaf Gardens. Pretty cool! :headbang:
Union Golden Time! LOL.
I have a buddy who sometimes sets up and tears down concerts and the money he tells me they make when they go overtime and over-overtime is insane.

Here's to hoping there is a DVD/Boxed set after the tour is completed.
