No, just the 3 songs. Well, You and Your Blues also has a long intro by Dave but the whole thing is 16 minutes long. It's on youtube.
Cool!

That's really cool, the floodgates are finally opening in our favor.
I feel like Van Halen and this site has consumed my life.
And it already consumed my life before they were talking about a new record....so....this isn't helping matters :D
For the last 6 or 7 years, when I would log on to this site and my wife would see it, she would say: "Relax, nothing happened since the last time you checked 2 hours ago." She was right.
Well, this time she is wrong :p
First time I read these lyrics my thought was, this is a tune Dave wrote about Eddie, but he changed it to a woman so Ed wouldn't recognize himself.
Same way I felt about "Can't Get This Stuff No More."

The guy fires off so many great lines, I wish I could remember them all and use them in everyday life! LOL
"Tweetle Dumb and Tweeetle Dumber" is a fun one!
Thanks for the videos Dave! This long time fan (since I was 10 in 78) is enjoying the hell out of this stuff!

If Dave wrote about his relationship with Eddie, he would need every last bit of the fabled "10 albums worth of material."
But I agree about Can't Get This Stuff No More. I always got the vibe of "you tried, but you can't replace me" in that song.

Brilliant song allround. Dave nails this vocally.

I can't figure if Dave's completely insane or an absolute genius. May be it takes both!

Cool stuff, and yes, Akroyd's left hand is alien.
I think this is great that we've got something new almost every day since Christmas.
It's like Dave has had all this build up over so many years that he's exploded us with all that his him.
Keep it coming!!

Bros. Van Halen obviously have agreed to stay in background and give Dave free rein to do whatever he wants. Dave knew how to work MTV in the 80's and he knows how to work internet today. Every time, he releases a video to Van Halen fan sites, it creates traffic and buzz which helps promote album and upcoming tour.
Keep 'em coming, Brett.

The Van Halen's probably said "talk about what you want, but keep us out of it... agreed?"
"Agreed."
I don't have the foggiest idea what happened to this band lately but all I have to say is I'm loving it and keep it up.

I didn't know that I missed him thát much in Van Halen. I'm so enjoying what he's giving us lately. Welcome back Dave! And I say it like I mean it.

And that's why Dave was so good at marketing the band.
When Ed smiles and plays guitar, and Dave does all the talking...that's Van Halen at their best.

I swear to God, he's lost his mind. Some of the stuff he says in this one is nonsense. He is starting to scare me.

When Dave talked about the "co-existing, heavy lifting, no more co-dependent etc..." did anyone else have a person from a past relationship pop into their head?
I had one... she went from sucking the chrome of the trailer hitch sucking the life out of my soul.
Dave is one entertaining dude.

Dude! Totally DT!!! I was thinking wow "I've dated that broad!!" (actually, and somewhat sadly, still on and off 2-1/2 years now)...constantly reinventing her 19th nervous breakdown!!! Everyone suffers cause of Her and Her Blues! (me, her family, her kids, my kids) You can empty your wallet on her, along with every ounce of bodily fluid (sorry for being a bit graphic), and make her happy for all of a couple of hours, then it was/ is right back to "my life sucks...when my husband left me I had to start working for a living and I can't deal :{"
She was/ is crazy hot as was the sex of course, but the emotional cost was/ is as you said "sucking the life out of me"...but the hot part makes it like a bad drug habit or something, extremely hard to kick!
Anyway, it's cool to hear Dave sing about having that same experience...here's a broad that is dating David Lee Roth and still can't be happy. Goes to show that with this type of unstable woman there just is no pleasing them long term (or for more than an hour). :brickwall
My 12 step program has not yet been completely successful, while I've been at least keeping her at arms length I still take her calls and continue to suffer thanks to Her and Her Blues :(

Good luck to you, seriously. Understand you might be dealing with a narcissist, she calls when she needs emotional fulfillment, and once she gets what she needs I am guessing she may be distant.
Do the math... I did, and you would probably save money hiring an escort to get the good stuff. And you don't get the emotional drama.
Those phone calls she makes are for her, and when you come running, she feels loved but can't return it to you. If her husband left her she also might have trust issues. Note, you have inherited all that. Do you really need it?
Fight the good fight brutha!

Thanks for the pep talk...you're pretty much right on the money.
Trust issues for sure (but expects full trust on her crazy "girl nights"), Daddy issues too, and I'm guessing the hubby left because of the narcissism. The world has to revolve around her and her needs, what have you done for me lately, and no empathy for others. Classic narcissist.
I do need to crank the VH and fight that fight.

Glad to see Brett has allowed our little self help group to continue.
Thanks for filling in the blanks regarding Daddy issues and the world revolving around their needs. Spot on there, as well.
Funny, none of my friends ever said I should try to get back with her, might be the same with you. For me, it wasn't until someone with a professional background in counselling said that I should never find a reason to speak to her again that it hit home. So I didn't. A year or so goes by, I have moved on, and our paths crossed. The first thought I had was "what the heck was I so drawn to her before". Since I was emotionally removed from the situation I saw her for what she was. Anyway, maybe just give it some time and like you said, listen to more Van Halen. I am sure that is what Dr. DLR would prescribe!

Same. I think I'm going to steal "You look like trouble, looking for a place to happen" from one of these videos. I loved the thing about his future in this one, "Meet me there...wear a hat so I'll know it's you". The guy just never ever runs out of something to say. Love him.

We've probably all known some creative people....I'd say being a little insane is a part of the deal. :)
