That's awesome, he described exactly why I like his lyrics so much with the snapshots and letting the listener fill in the story.
this has prompted me to go listen to this Iron Maiden-esque song once again. thank you Dave, thank you Brett.
God I wish Dave would shut up. Every time I get on my PC it's blah blah blah.
Giving me a headache!
NOT used to this!

Dave has shown a preference toward 'Newsboy' or 'Driver' caps lately.....I own and wear these hats all the time....I also have a pair of the exact same Persol sunglasses he's wearing.....
Should I be concerned that I'm starting dress like DLR? :scared:

Yep! can't wait for song-by-song for other tunes.
These videos are GREAT! I honestly can't believe what's going on here. VH is actually doing other shit! :headbang:
One other thing this video proved to me. Holy shit is Dave looking old. Like almost sickly old. I know I've said this a bunch of times but I'm hoping he's alright. He just looks weaker and thinner compared to 4 years ago. A long time I know but I just hope he's healthy. :smokin:

No. As long as your wardrobe doesn't include animal-print-spandex-body-suits and leather chaps with optional horse tail you are probably ok. :thumb:

This band has never stopped impressing me... ever. They have taught me how to laugh at the mud on my face and how to sling some back.
I just can't help but to love a good band that stomps the heart out of you, yet replaces your brain every time. What's the name of that syndrome where you learn to love your kidnappers?

Interesting. People have been expressing their opinions here for a few months now with this album and they've gotten knocked-down for speaking up with "I can't believe people are complaining about x . . . . "
From Dave (this video):
"That's why the internet is so spectacular because now we can all critique together. The rights, the wrongs, the in-betweens. If it's good, it will cause you to pontificate, it will cause you to argue, it will cause you to question."
Wise man indeed.

My Brunswick education will help you out. Stockholm Syndrome.
Dave is very intelligent. It's too bad people associate him with being a clown.

Nah I use AMF. The only ball endorsed by the city of Parma. Shouldn't you be closing down the Willoughby Brewing Company?
The thing I love about Dave is that he is going through life smiling, and hence, he never takes himself as seriously as other people do. That's an enviable traight for sure. That translates into his lyrics where every couple of lines seems to bring everything from a little snicker to a full on smile, yet it is still steeped in some genius and deep knowledge about life, history, or philosophy.
People that dismiss Dave as some fun-in-the-sun SoCal pothead or something are really missing out on one of the funniest and brilliant people of this generation.

In all fairness, back in the day I think Dave helped cultivate this image too. There's an interview with music writer, Lisa Robinson from 80's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJy_4ddkCWc where she suggest that he is hiding fact that he is intelligent because he might turn off fans, who don't expect that from rock star.

The man's father was a Dr. Doctors aren't known for producing dummies. His eccentric as a MF, but witty and talented. Best vocalist ever? Nah, but he used his distinct voice and wise ass lyrics to take him to the top. The ego didn't hurt.
I love "Heroes aren't made, they're cornered." That is so true. "In this corner's where we write this story." GREAT STUFF!

Yup, actually they're all lookin' old and the black and white videos dont help much either. Eddie is even looking old now. I saw a video the other night and i'll be damned, he's got a big ass bald spot going on in the back. Age - it happens.
