god i love the house of blues!!!
if you eat dinner there, you can cut the line and enter before everyone else.
there were only about 40 people in that line. so when they let us in, i got to the second person in front of the barricade in front of sammy. he had an amazingly hot waitress in a black bikini...... good lord she was hot.
we got showered by his waboritas and water. picks flew past but i never got one. i managed to get my license plate up by his mike stand and right before mikey came out sammy signed it and left on the stage. mike came out an blistered our ears with his solo and ripped in to running with the devil. a few songs into the other half set i managed to get mikes attention and asked him to sign the plate,he said yeah sure and signed and handed it back to me. worth the price of admisson alone! that and the fact that they played 5150!!!!!
damn i love that song.

someone threw up a peavy evh 5150 tshirt for sammy to sign. sam picked up read it and just smiled and started to hand it back to the guy. he then cover up the evh part of with his hand. then he sniffed the shirt and acted like it smelt bad.....then he started laughing signed the shirt and said dont worry brother its all good.....

was a hell of a night. met some great people while waiting in line. had a blast. i also had my first shot of cabo tequila, not a fan of tequila but it was smooth.

this show ruled. but I was slightly disappointed by the short Other Half set, plus they stopped 5150 right before the solo. I was really hoping to hear Judgement Day and Good Enough. Oh well, Sammy was in top form!

yeah the other half set was initially longer when they brought out the set lists. right before show time a change was made to the set list,which was shortened. bummer but oh well!

Good show and a great set list but after seeing the 3 hour show in Tampa the Saturday before it seemed a little short. HOB is a great place for a show, about $40 and three standing rows from stage. You can't do much better than that.

I kind of got the feeling the show kind of interupted a mini-vacation during the tour. With the Atlanta show cancelled they only had HOB between Tampa and Nashville which Tampa and Nashville ended up being a week apart. I got the feeling they flew in a couple hours before the show pumped out a killer but quick two hour set because the date was on the schedule and it was the day after Mike's birthday. At least I think that was the date they mentioned during the Fla show.

A very good show but not the overall effort they put out for the show in Tampa. Hearing 5150 made the trip worth it. I drove from Raleigh NC in rain so heavy traffic on I95 was at a complete stop. I thought I would miss the show but the skies let up and I couldn't get "Humans Being" out of my mind.
