Live Nation creates superior experiences for artists and fans, regularly producing tours for the biggest superstars in the business, including The Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, U2 and Coldplay. Globally, we own, operate and/or have booking rights for more than 170 venues, including House of Blues-branded music venues and prestigious locations such as San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium, Nikon at Jones Beach in New York and London's Hammersmith Apollo and Wembley Arena. Live Nation's websites collectively are the second most popular entertainment event websites in the United States, according to Nielsen//NetRatings. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Live Nation is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, trading under the symbol "LYV".

Gonna be a good Summer. Time to buy 100 shares of Live Nation to dump just after the anouncement.

Devore is the fucking armpit of all California venues, not just SoCal.

Worst place in the entire golden state to see a show.

If they're worried about attendance and don't want to commit to Staples or the Pond, they can find better smaller venues than Hyundai, for Chrissakes. Gibson Amp at Universal City. Pacific Amp in Costa Mesa. Irvine Meadows (Verizon whatever now). Hollywood Bowl.

Goddamn Devore and its wasteland of an arena.

Even an easier decision not to go if that's where the So Cal show will be.

It's not the second coming of Van Halen as much as it is a chance to put a big show on the road for a good cash infusion and some chicken soup for the Van Halen soul.

I'm going as long as Ed and Dave are there.
Me too!! This will probably be our last chance.

I'm going because I want to see David Lee Roth and Edward Van Halen on stage together, playing VAN HALEN tunes. I understand this isn't a full fledged reunion, but it's the reason I'd want to go to one in the first place...for these two.

I don't want to poop on your party but, why doesn't someone post the link to this Billboard article, rather than retype the whole thing. Or is it made up?
Billboard is usually a bit more responsible than to throw out this kind of stuff.
They are using quotes from last year, and references to Dave's radio show that are pretty irrelevant and dated.
Plus , "tickets on sale just after the New Year" was three weeks ago.

Everytime i think of the possibility of this tour actually happening i get a very baaaaaddd feeling.

Outdoor amphitheatre's in these dark days of moody mother nature are another logistical problem.
Or is outdoor amphitheatre another term for "Ribfest" or "County Fair" ?

"Van Halen Live: Tonight"
w/ special guests
The Yak Woman
The Guy who can "Guess your Weight"
Moose Jaw Outdoor Amphitheatre and Lumberjack Rodeo
8:00 pm
Tickets $50 or
Free with paid admission to the Fairgrounds
