I was wondering if anyone knew why Eddie switched his signature guitar line from music man to peavy. I heard something about a scandal with the wife of a CEO somewhere along the way. Does anyone have the answer.

I've never heard anything about the scandal. From what i understand, Edward was unhappy with the fact that Music Man couldn't produce the numbers that the market demanded. I recall that in a interview sometime in 1993 or 94, he mentioned that fans would approach him and say they could never find his guitars anywhere. Also, I heard that he was a bit upset with the fact that Music Man owned the copyright/patents on the specially designed pickups. That might explain why he holds the copyright/patents on the entire Wolfgang guitar.

They say Eddie was fooling around with Sterling Ball's wife and that had something to do with him leaving the company. For some reason I don't doubt this. I've heard and read about Eddie cheating on Valerie several times and if he did this time, then that's one of the reasons why he left and uses all the other shit as an excuse.

I had heard that it had much more to do with the scandal than issues with the guitar. It's RARELY talked about, but I remember something about an affair, Sterling Ball's wife, etc.

Bet they are happy to be out of that deal now - I would wager the Wolfgang is a pretty slow mover these days.

    Eddymon -

I'd guess you hit the nail right on the head.
