I've been listening to this song alot lately and it's awsome!
I wish VH had put more stuff like this on the live CD y'know stuff people were not expecting.
I've also been listening to the studio version of this song-from the RHRN interview at the 5150 studios and it's incredible. Sammy's scream at the end is unreal!
If you get a chance to see this video check out Mike's face when Sammy hits that scream he's like
Totally awsome!

WGFA is one of my favorite Who songs and I think VH did a great job on it.

Yes VH did a great job covering that song. I've never heard the studio version that Al mentioned.

Van Halen really tore the hell out of this song, very cool. What Eddie does on guitar with the keyboard part is just amazing. And Sammy has the perfect voice to mimic those great Roger Daltry screams.

A long time ago the VHND had the video of it. I have it somewhere, and an MP3 of it I downloaded a few weeks ago from MyNapster.

Weird.

I was just thinking of this one today and the Who influences on the band. By that I mean hearing WGFA and the "I want it, I want it" on Mine All Mine on several of the Sammy boots.

What is odd about all this is that I read at one time, back in the Montrose days, Sammy absolutely HATED Roger Daltrey!! He was all like "we don't need some British guy telling us how to rock" or some sentiment like that.

In my opinion Won't Get Fooled Again is the BEST cover song VH ever did!!! (That's right I said it)

Though Ice Cream Man is right up there with it....

I'm getting ready to buy a video from Spectrum Marketing and it has WGFA along with Dreams and interviews from 5150 I believe.

'Won't Get Fooled Again' is my all-time favorite non-VH tune. When I first heard VH cover this song, I was completely blown away. I would have loved to have been at that show when they played it. That song has balls!

i love WGFA, it's my favorite who song also. i love the who, so i was also stoked when i heard this song.
my only beef is that van halen cut a bunch of time out of the original, it seemed like the song went by alot faster than the who version.
