Yes, you did, but I think I know the answer, so it's no big deal

IIRC, it has been said on here before that they are the backs of lights used on their stage setup.

I'll move this over to the proper forum while I'm at it.

    For $64, the answer is:

It's a photo taken during World War II of an assembly line in an aircraft manufacturing plant. The items on the line were heavy-duty glass enclosures that ultimately ended up on the fuselages of bombers like the B-29.

...keep your $64. I've already been on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'...Feb 28, 2000. Look it up if you like

I've looked at pictures of the of the B-29 nose assembly, and their glass enclosures don't have a big round hole in them.

So, I don't buy that until I see more evidence...

Yes, the back of PAR cans mounted on a set piece for stage use.

A parabolic aluminized reflector lamp (also PARCAN light, PARcan, or simply PAR) is a type of electric lamp widely used in theatre and concerts.

    Here's a picture of one:

Check out the stage lights that come on at 1:15 in a 1984 performance of "Panama"

100% definitely the back of a bunch of old PAR cans.
