How is the video quality of this? Is it multi camera? I understand the audio is quite good, but I seem to recall people mentioning having the Montreal 84 show on VHS and the quality being pretty bad. Any opinions on the Q at the F video quality? Say, compared to the US Festival video.

Thanks.

are ya talking abiout the Montreal 1984 video , audience ?

Btw ... I got it in NTSC but for my un-luck I can't made copies in NTSC !
The show is registered from the center of the audience , and shot from far , but not from too far anyway !
My copy is a copy from the MASTER , and I bought it from a guy from Ebay last year !
The quality video and audio of mine is excellent !

This is an audience shot video (single cam). It's the only full concert 1984 video in circulation, as of right now anyways, but maybe VH can do something about that in the near future. It's really not that bad at all if you can find a low gen. copy, but it is shot from the back of the arena.

It's an amazing show. The quality is about a 7-8 on both sound and video. The show performance is typical I guess. It's good

Yes, but Montreal is the only full length concert video in circulation. Donnington has only 1 song, Hot For Teacher. There is also some footage from Brazil '84, and contains clips from about 3 or 4 different songs, but Montreal is the only full concert one.

Ya not right !
There's a TV clip of hot for teacher taken from english special of 1984 monster of rock !
But there's also a fan shot audience recording of the show that is long about 65 minutes ( Van Halen played about 1 hour ) and i got this video concert !
it's really rare , really rare , but only for really die-hard fans , cause it's shot from really far from the stage !

Now that I think about it I think I remember that one too. Isn't it in black in white?

No ! My copy is in color !
I think that over 6 or 7 generation could be in black and white !
My copy cames from a Master3 of the concert so is still in color ! ... the sound is excellent ! the best part of the video is the Eddie solo , but you may see Eddie as a white point in the stage !

Thought I'd drag this topic back up since I've since gotten this set from Cabo Kid. Damn it's cool to see the 1984 stage set up. To be honest, I had no idea what it looked like in completion like that, with the ramps up behind Alex. The stage is just HUGE.

The camera seems to get a touch more out of focus after the first few songs, but it's great to see the show. Much better video than I expected from hearing people talk about this show previously.

I don't know if it was just my imagination but Eddie seemed quite content to stay away from Dave for the most part. Anybody else notice this?

BTW, do these VCD's play in DVD players? I don't have one, I just watched it on my computer with the Windows Media Player, just wondering if I should think about getting a DVD player. If I do, maybe VH should get a kick back of some type.

Thanks again CK, awesome show.

When I really noticed it was early on when Dave took his microphone and put it up to Eddie's crotch. Eddie didn't seem to appreciate that.

Granted I'm seeing that from a distance, but that's what it seemed like to me. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who noticed it.
