Is there any trace out there of the suppossed follow-up to Van Halen III with Gary? I've read in several places that this disc was in the bag and after WB balked, they shelved it. I'm shocked that if they actually recorded it that at least one song hasn't leaked out...

    Anyone?

The closest thing you'll get to the post-VH3 sessions is Left For Dead on the TOJ CD. Gary claims he wrote those lyrics while still in Van Halen, but the music is TOTALLY different (which makes sense unless Van Halen was headed into an industrial phase).

But no, the other songs are locked down in some vault somewhere; they sure haven't seen the light.

We'll hear those songs eventually. Remember we live in an age where every recorded note played by Jimi Hendrix is going to be released. Eddie is in my opinion just as revolutionary.

Very true, but can you imagine how many notes are stored at 5150? They are still digging out music that they had made while Dave was in the band...imagine how much has been made since then...unreal!!!
