I just got a cd with an incredible set list from Van Halen playing at, I think, the Hilton - in 1977. The recordings are incredible!!!!

This might be really common, I don't know - but I think it's awesome - I even hear DLR telling people to gather around the dance floor -

Here are the songs on it...

Show your love -
Voodoo Queen
Little Dreamer
Last Night
Get the Show on the Road
Babe don't leave me alone
Big Trouble
She's the woman
Put out the lights
Happy Trails
If you can't rock me - ( Stones Cover )
Jean Genie ( David Bowie )
DLR Raps and gives band intro
Rock Steady ( Bad Company )
Track 16 - Unknown

I can't tell you how good these recordings are - Brett, if you don't have this already, I'll be happy to upload it to you.

Anyone know of this? Is it really common?

Yes, these tracks are common. The songlist you describe is the bootleg "Van Halen '77 + Live". (These songs are on other boot discs as well.)

The first ten tracks are taken from the 25-song WB demo recorded in late 1977, and the remaining 5 live tunes were recorded at the Pasadena Hilton in June '76. The "Track 16 - Unknown" you list is a cover of Rick Derringer's "Rock n' Roll Hoochie Koo".

If you need any other info on bootlegs, be sure to refer to http://www.vhboots.com and http://www.vhtrading.com first.

I diggit when Dave says at the end o' one of these a here tunes,"...Are you experienced?..."..."If You Can't Rock Me" iz AMAZING--even better on Gazzari's '74(the whole cut iz prezent). I like it when Roth talks 'bout how big bad Eddie iz cookin',too. Nah you cookin' with gazz...
