Greg is sending me a couple of CD-Rs full of MP3 bootlegs and I just want a review of some of them. Being as dumb as I am, I forgot what most of them are. Here's what I remember:

    Magic Mountain
    4 On The Floor
    Light Up The Sky
    Diamond Dave's Last Daze
    1980 London Invasion

    Thanx kids!

I've got 3 of the 5 shows listed above. Here's what I can recall from those...

Magic Mountain: This is one of my favorite CD's because it's such an early performance and you can just tell that the band is about to come into it's own. There's a real RAW sound to the band that makes them sound "hungry"...you're going to dig this one.

LUTS...this is the show that everyone talks about "the story of Joe". It's a very funny story Dave tells that typifies the essence of DLR's cock and swagger. (note: I'm not referring to his "manhood" when I say "cock and swagger" ) The sound is a pretty good audience recording.

1980 London Invasion...a definite must for the ol' VH collection. A lot of energy and a lot of DLR rappin' if I remember correctly. It's also one of the few shows that has "Bright Lights, Big City" on it. The only thing about this show I'm not fond of is they had to delete YRGM due to time constratints, according to the back cover.

I really think you'll enjoy all these shows. They all belong in a definitive VH collection. BTW, let me know how "Four on the Floor" is. That's one I've been looking for.

No problem Jim! I hope that Four On The Floor is as good as the cover is. That's one of the best boot covers I've seen, aside from the Fuel On Fire cover Anyway, that was dumb. I have been wanting to hear that Story of Joe thing, and that's the main reason I am getting it.

I have "Four On The Floor" and it is a good boot. I'd rate it as a B+. Eddie screws up during Cathedral and has to stop completely. You'll like it. Hope that helps.

Uncle Ted, I'd trade with you if I can get my parents to pop me that CD burner for Christmas
