This has probably been done before, but I wondered if anybody has any cool memories of things they saw at a VH show that they'd like to share.

When I saw them on the Balance tour there was a guy in about the third row who was flexing his arms at Sammy (in fun). So Sammy starts flexing his right arm and says to Eddie, "hey Eddie don't you think I could take this guy".

I was about halfway up the arena right beside the stage for that show, and halfway through, Eddie went backstage and took a piss into a garbage can. Weird thing to see.

Also at that show, Mike's bass strap broke and his bass fell to the stage (fully amplified) during the slow section of Not Enough right after the guitar solo. Sammy looked at Mike like he was gonna kill him, and Eddie was cracking up.

    Anybody else?

Glenn? You should know better, concert memories in an Opinions forum *shakes his head*

Where's the speculation man? I'm sending this over to the main forum since it's VH related and doesn't really fit anywhere else. If those guys can think of a better place to put it, they're more than welcome

I'm not sure how this ended up in the bootlegs forum But anyway

    **apologies to any French readers**

L:RHRN tour April '93 at the NEC in Birmingham, England - Van Halen's first British gig since Donington '84. A day or so before they had cancelled a show in Paris because Sammy's voice was suffering.

At some point in the show Sammy said something like "We just cancelled a show in Paris so I could rest my voice and put on great show for you guys. Screw the French". Ok, he may not have said the last part but that was the clear implication I've never heard an arena crowd cheer so loudly.

And they went on to play a great (and long) set. Surprised the hell out of me by playing Unchained, and then a jamming encore including Runnin' With The Devil, Alright Now and some other stuff which I forget. Sammy certainly won us Brits over that night
