I just collect VH bootlegs. I've downloaded a few off the net too. Does anyone know how to keep the 2-second gap between songs from being there? It's annoying on the live CDs that I have(South American Assault, Live At The San Diego Sports Arena).

Are you using a computer burner or stereo burner?

Computer. Is there a difference? The ones that have the gap are the ones that I downloaded off the net. You know, song-by-song. Would a stereo burner make a difference? Thanx.

I'm not sure about the stereo set up, I use a computer burner too. What works for me, if you have the tracks (.wav files) saved on your hard drive, you can select DAO (disk at once) before you burn the cdr. I use Nero software. It should be on the same screen as where you select what speed you want to burn at. I think that's how it works. Other people may have more input.

I use Adaptec Toast on a Mac with a Ricoh burner. Until I got the latest software upgrade, I had no option but to have the 2 second gaps. With the new software, no more gaps...Uncle Ted, I'm almost done with yours!!!

The two seconds grap is always a problem for most ! All I may do for now is :
-convert the cd audio in mp3 format
-then convert the mp3 stuff in Wav files
-then burn using the immaging of the cd on the hard drive using the "disk at once " stuff !
    YUNNNKKKKK

If you want better quality, I suggest that you convert your CDs directly to wav-files instead of converting them to mp3-files. This way the quality of the copy will be better. I don't know what program you use but I believe your program lets you choose whether you want to save the files as mp3 files or wav files.

I collect boots by A WHOLE BUNCH of different bands (VH included of course!)
I hear the best way to eliminate the gaps is to create the CDR from songs off your PCs hard drive and select the Disk at Once option in your software.
Somebody mentioned about trying to avoid converting to MP3 and back to CD audio files. That is true, at least thats what A LOT of traders say.
