Just got Cali Calling and disc 1 songs are out of order. I think it starts with Dance the Night Away, 2nd song Jamies Cryin'. Song #4 Romeo Delight has a lot of digital noise, Yes/NO? Mine does. It comes with 2 sec gaps. Is this everybody's or did I get a funky copy? Thanks!

Just a trade I didn't buy nuttin'! But it was a pain-filled trade *lol* Own this show? Describe it to me compared to mine. So I know the standard I should expect.
    Grazie.

I have the US Festival 83 boot, which I think is just dubbed from the California Calling set. I've never heard the CC one, so I can't make any kind of comparison. US Festival 83 was my first bootleg, so I probably have an inflated view of it, but I love it. It's a bit distant, but it just reeks of the fun that Van Halen was preaching at the time. Just recently I got the video of the US Festival and I'd say the sound is a bit better on the video than on the CD's I have.

But are the songs on disc 1 out of order?
Funny I felt after hearing the disc, that it sounded better than my vid. How can we really know if we have Cali Calling or US Fest discs? The desription from the boot site of US Fest says "This 2 disc set appears to be a "boot" of the "California Calling" set.
What the hell does that mean?

OK for the record I wrote this up before Jerel had posted his latest. So fogive the first question.

per the e-mail I sent you. My copy of California Calling starts with Romeo Delight. I copied it straight from the original myself. So maybe your show got copied differently, or may not be the 83 show.
