i've been digging around for music to download and one song that came up as van halen rare/unreleased was something called FRESH that supposedly is a leftover from 1984. listening to it it sounds like it could be ed & al but i'm not 100% sure.

has anyone heard this tune? or does anyone know if this is Ed & Al or just some imitators?

    thanks for your help....

It's not VH. When I first heard it, I thought it was VH too, but apparently it isn't.

This could be a good one for the FAQ section.

I think it was determined that it was steve lukather. Eddie-ish guitar intro, kinda off time in a funky way, but not quite rite. The thing that really made me wonder though was listening to a drummers critique of the drums (toptimmy here at links), says there is no way. I gotta buy that.

How was it determined that it was Steve Lukather? I'm not familiar with his work, but the tune is very cool, IMHO.

I never heard this assumption until now. IMO, it doesn't sound like Luke...

I ran across that too - thought it was a cool track , regardless of who it was.

Well I was excited when I saw the selection on the net.....but I figured it wasn't VH after the first few seconds due to the quality......

Something unreleased from that time after waiting this long would sound very scratchy or dated...just look at "I Want Some Action"......I still haven't run across a very good sounding version of this demo......mainly scratchy with very high treble.......

    SAB
Dave or Sammy....I don't care...let's just get some VH going again!!!!
