This was shortly after MTV came out, which was in 1981. Music videos were just starting to get popular since there was a place to see them. Before then, there weren't too many places to catch music on TV. So it makes sense that VH was learning how to capitalze on this (there WAS only 1 video made for the DD album...and the Fair Warning videos probably helped sell more of that record...I bought it after I saw "So This Is Love?") At the time, I only saw the US Festival stuff on a Pay-Per-View Special, but only recently have I seen the other shows. I remember there was always talk about VH doing a live album too....Bottom line is, it made sense for them to do all those concert videos, since there was a chance that they could profit from it. Never happened though!!!

One other VERY important point...this was about the time that VCRs were becoming popular. For the longest time, I was the only kid on my block with a VCR. Now everyone has 'em. It's interesting, because I bet you've always had a VCR around as long as you can remember eh??

Actually there are 2 Pretty Woman videos.

And my parents used to rent a VCR a lot before they bought one. I'm not even 19 yet.
