I recently came across a Fair Warning Tour bootleg called "Listen Up Eddie" that had a killer set-list. I was interested in getting it but was afraid the quality would suck like my "That's All Folks WB demos" that I got a few years back. Does anybody have any info on this recording and whether it's worth getting?

It has pretty decent sound for a bootleg, especially one from the FW tour. There's a 2cd set called Full Moon, Fair Warning which has the complete set plus a few other tracks from the same show as LUE.

Hmmm, I wonder how bad your That's All Folks is! Listen Up Eddie is an audience recording, and it sounds fairly boxed in. The sound is okay, but it's definitely not a soundboard recording.

Sorry for the shitty description, I'm trying to think of a way to describe it properly. Sounds a bit like it's in a cave, one of those 'closed in' sounding things.

    I'll stop now.

My "That's All Folks" cd is horrible sounding!! It sounds like a 3rd generation copy that was taped off of a boombox speaker. I exaggerate not. If you don't think the Listen Up Eddie sounds too bad I just may check it out. Just looking for a decent Dave-era bootleg.

I've never heard TAF but have Blueprint which is suppsoed to have worse sound and it's very good for a bootleg IMO. Either you have a really bad copy or very sensitive ears

I certainly wouldn't take LUE as one of the better sounding Dave-era boots. You'd be better off getting something like Dressed to Kill, Live and Loud or US Festival '83. Largo 80 is a good one from the WACF tour too.

    Bud,

Just to chip in, I would have to give it a C grade for sound quality. I dont know what else to say, except I have heard much better Live bootleg sound quality, and also much worse. This sort of falls in the middle.
