    Guys,

I have been trying to find '1st Generation" audio from the three 1979 Don Kirshner Concert Videos - "Dance the Night Away", "Bottom's Up", and "You're No Good".

Although I have yet to see them, VH1 Classic's Rock Fest show on DirecTV and Digital Cable throughout the nation will provide an excellant opportunity to get high quality audio of these three Live songs.

I ask for everyone's help here in the VH Boot/Trading Community to try and get the audio from these three videos.

Some of you may remember that I am working on a high-quality compilation of Live VH songs. I know that I have been working on it for well over a year now, but I have pretty much come to a point where I need more high quality Dave Era songs. I could put lower quality stuff on there, but it is not what I want to do.

Anyway, my project is called "Discovery" and you can check out the latest on it at www.vhvault.com/~chetdakota

I know that VH1 Classics does show their shows in repeat, but have yet to see a pattern. I do know that the 1-hour Rock Classics show that was shown on Saturday afternoon was repeated at 11:00PM ET that night. Maybe if someone sees either of these videos, they could post here so I could catch it in repeat or maybe you could set your recording stuff up to catch it yourself.

    Thanks for your help.

    Chet

    Chet,

I believe VH1 Classic is on 6 hour repeat.

    Dog,

So you think that they do a 6-hour repeat with two new shows a day? Say, Rockfest was on at 12:00PM, then they would show the same Rockfest at 6:00PM, then a new Rockfest at 12:00AM/6:00AM?

    Thanks!!

    Chet

    Chet,

I think each video gets aired four times a day. I think they might be starting to throw the running order off though. I have a broken foot, and on the weekends I'm pretty much in the house. I flip through the channels a lot, and yesterday I saw Pretty Woman with Roy Orbinson and Bruce Springsteen 4 times yesterday.

I have also figured out that they have a "set" list of their shows that they repeat, but not neccessarily on the same day. I saw a RockFest last night that showed When It's Love sandwiched between BTO's "The Weekend" and Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper". I remember watching RockFest one day last week, maybe Wednesday, that showed the same songs in the same order.
