Van Halen tribute band, On Fire, located in Southern California (rehears in North Orange County) is looking for a new lead singer to play the role of Diamond David Lee Roth. We're looking for someone who, first and foremost, has the voice, attitude and swagger. If you have the look, dance, and jumps, great but not critical.

So why another Dave era VH tribute band in an area that already has the one and only Atomic Punks...because the Punks are playing bigger venues (a.k.a. House of Blues) and there's a lot of smaller clubs that the Punks don't play anymore (a.k.a. Shack, Hoagies, Rude Dog, etc.) that want this type of entertainment.

We're primed and ready to get out there and rip it up...we have a set list that’s comprised of 19 classic DLR era VH tunes… we just need the right front man...is that you? Call us at (714)693-4535 or email.

Hey why don't you guys pack it in the car and head over to Dave's house... he might take the gig or at worst y'all might get hired as his backing band for this year's tour...

How many Sammy era tribute bands are there? Oh yea, not a fucking one Brian Young has proven that the guitar can be mimicked, but we know you can't fake the singer. Go get Dave

"The truth and nothing but"
I was "let go" from On Fire last night.

Definitely NOT my choice, but maybe inevitable??
I lived 50 minutes away, and though I didn't mind practicing, I wanted to start playing live, so I gave the band an ultimatum:
Book some gigs or find another singer, because until you book a gig, I ain't going to any more rehearsals. Well...

hmmmm....some people take a slower approach to things, people.....I ain't one of 'em.
I have a CD to finish writing and recording, and am singing my music LIVE every week. That is my main priority, and ON FIRE was always a side project anyway, even though I had MUCH FUN doing it. How can you not enjoy singing Van Halen Music??? The tunes (ALL OF THEM) are some of the best music around!! The guys in the band were all fun to hang out with as people too. Not knockin any of 'em, for sure!! I'm sure they'll move forward quick, the guitarist could EASILY hang with anyone the Atomic Punks have had, and that's saying a LOT because I think the Punks are the best at what they do. I would never try to be someone else or compete with the Punks, I simply had fun playin great music in front of people that felt the same way!!!

But, why not create-if you can, right?? You will all be hearing, what I believe is, some great new music VERY shortly. ...and this ain't no "No news is good news"....I will gladly give anyone who PM's me, with their email address, some samples of whats gonna be comin'!
I am working with some very talented songwriters, like my ace-in-the-hole, Steve Lewis (formerly of Autograph), and a host of other friends. All over the map with these tunes, too! Of course there are tunes with some SERIOUS BALLS....ya had to know that..... but there are quite a few "surprises" as well. Hell, the album ain't even finished yet, and I've already had a tune club-remixed! I'll be including that on the disc as well. There are more than one way to tell my stories.....
UNTIL THEN:I invite you all to one of my "Loss Of Control" shows to get a sneak preview of the new tunes!!!
For show dates come see me at:Loss Of Control Website

how's this for dedication? We play from 9-1 this Saturday, then from 8-10AM (!) the NEXT MORNING... for the San Diego Marathon!!!
"Workin like a dawg, baby, all day long"
SEE EVERYBODY SOON!!!

Dave doesn't have the voice so he wouldn't work.

Two reasons why no (or few) Hagar era tribute.
1)Most guys interested in doing a tribute more often than not prefer Dave.
2)Anyone attempting to sing Hagar would blow their pipes in about 10 minutes. Please, don't try to sing like Sam at home only trained professionals should attempt this.
If you want a little peace, sometimes you got to fight
We got to walk through the darkness
Before we stand in the light.

Were were gonna team up to do a "Tribute To The Tour of 2002", but last time I checked in with them, he wasn't on their website anymore....so I guess they ain't good to go anymore
