"It reminded me of overdue dentist appointments"
"It sounded like hot water on a sick cat"
"You want me to sit here and salute the sinking of the Titanic?"
    - David Lee Roth on Howard Stern, when listening to the Van Halen song "How Many Say I", which is sung by Eddie.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Personally, I liked Eddie's comments about when Roth went and formed "junior Van Halen" as he called it. He called Vai "the guy that tabbed VH songs for Guitar World" Now THAT's classic 'cause it's true! Just like their hero, Roth fans milk and beat something to death. Roth couldn't even try something new, he had to try and recreate a formula he was only 1/4 responsible for and it showed!

It's also true that Vai tabbed Allan Holdsworth (Eddie Van Halen's hero) songs for Guitar World

Dave loved to poke fun of Van Halen with Sammy and Gary, I think it's funnier than shit when Eddie does it to Dave and all the Dave-heads get bent out of shape.

    I agree with you Brett.

Why do all the 'Dave Heads' fly off the handle that way????????

Just curious?? 'VH is nothing without Dave', yeah right....fallen to the floor..

Yeah, considering Dave's career nosedived when the 90's rolled around, I don't understand their logic either. They can't stand to see him get ripped into. How about this guys:

Dave is NOTHING without Van Halen!!!!

Sit on that and spin, muthafuckas!

    I think it's all hilarious.

I loved when VH attacked Dave in 1986 - even though I love Dave.

It was good therapy. I mean, Dave was gone -and they needed to convince the fans that VH would be okay without him. So they ripped Dave apart.

Course Dave gave it back just as well.

I wish Dave would bury the hatchet with Sammy now. I think Sam is tired of Roth fans hating him - especially since he's not even in VH anymore.

    Hey Spanish Doctor,

I was wondering if I could get your opinion on that song that Dave did a few years ago. I am not sure of the songs name, but it was the "New York City" version of the song. I think it was for like dancing

Also how about the duet he did with Travis Tritt?

Also what's your opinion on his "assless" chaps he wears on stage?

Last but no least, what's your opinion of Dave's stunning sword dance that he does at the '83 US Festival? I found it to be very exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love a good roast! especially between Vh & singers. who needs wrestling.

i think dave is hilarious but we do not need him to tell us what this song sounded like.

my favorite rip on dave is when eddie did his impression of him on mtv news. he sucks his cheeks and and says "you better fuckin not" funniest thing i've seen him do.

Hillarious is right. Dave can dish it better than anybody. He has a special way with words. I always thought he should have a hand in WWF or WCW scripts
