    Van Baron,

Try a band called I Mother Earth!! They're Canadian, but they ROCK!!

    Albums: DIG (1993)
    Scenery and Fish (1995)
    Blue, Green, Orange (1999)

** My favorite is Scenery and FISH. And Jagori Tanna uses Ernie Ball EVH Music Man Guitars on some stuff.

    Peace Out

Try Mike Keneally. He was former stunt guitarist for Frank Zappa in 1988 and has most recently toured with Steve Vai. His music is some of the most creative and original that I've ever heard. He's an incredible songwriter and gifted musician. His new album, "Dancing", comes out on Sept. 26th. In the meantime, check out "Sluggo!", "hat.", "Boil That Dust Speck", or "Nonkertompf". http://www.keneally.com

Janes Addiction- Ritual De Lo Habitual
    Mr. Bungle- California
STP- Tiny Music (Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop)
    Soundtrack to Bram Stokers Dracula
Alice in Chains- Dirt, Alice in Chains(the album)
None of these albums are anything like VH, but they all pull emotions from me, much in the same way that classic VH does.

    "they're canadian, but they rock"
you make that sound like good canadian music is hard to come by. and in the case of i mother earth, and our lady peace, well, i agree. i hate those bands. the lead singer of i mother earth left to go solo, and in my opinion, he's way better. his name is edwin. his new cd is called another spin around the sun.
if you want good canadian rock, get rush, or bto. so, there's yer musical fix for the time being.

I shouldn't of said " but they Rock" I meant and they rock. Actually I listen to more Canadian Bands now a days than US. Cause US music has sucked for a while now, with the exception of a few bands. But I think that has to do more with the radio in my town than anything else. MUCH Music from Canada is the best thing that has happen to my cable system since MTV in the early 80's.
