Dunno about the theater.

You'll probably have a very hard time finding out about Ashley A. Kids medical records are rather protected, and it's really none of our business. She had/has leukemia. You can buy a CD with the song Dave did for her from Songs of Love. https://www.songsoflove.org/shop_frame.html

Man, you make it sound as if I wanted to know how she was doing for some devious reason or something. I was just hoping and praying she came through that terrible ordeal ok. We had a young lady die this week from a skiing accident out in Colorado. That is what made me think of it. I have two boys and would be devistated if I were to lose either of them. Why would I want her medical records? This thing was very public. I thought there might be public knowledge.

Sorry. I'm just saying that most families don't exactly make these kinds of things common knowledge. The girl isn't a celeb. She's a little girl with cancer. We'll never likely know what became of her.

DIAMOND DAVE JOINS THE FIGHT TO SAVE HISTORICAL RAYMOND THEATRE

Special thanks goes out to Pasadena resident David Lee Roth, who has been very supportive in our cause to save the Raymond Theatre. The Raymond (when known as Perkins Palace) hosted many shows by Van Halen and the David Lee Roth Band and was also the place Dave rehearsed before world tours. We would like to thank Dave for his kindness in sending a letter to the Pasadena City Council in support of the Raymond Theatre.
DAVID LEE ROTH'S STATEMENT:

Some years ago, Joni Mitchell penned a profound little tune that went "Don't
it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got till it's gone, you
pave paradise; and put up a parking lot."

Are we really gonna do that to the Raymond Theater?

Let me just say that aside from the fact that I will duly deny quoting Joni Mitchell,
that the theater is a part of history; and we're gonna tear it down?

For what - Another Jamba Juice?
Another Taquito Mas?
How much coffee can one person drink?

The majesty of Southern California, as well as Pasadena's colorful past, is
slowly but surely being exhausted.

Is it less a crime to destroy the painstaking artistry still living in walls of the Raymond Theater,
than it would be to obliterate the Pasadena Playhouse?

I have heard it argued that the Raymond isn't earthquake proof. That it can
be destroyed by an earthquake is no reason to hasten its demise.

To be ravaged by the forces of nature has dignity that is simply not present when the destruction
is cause by the greedy forces of one man. Think I'm Kidding Check out my former guitarist.

Do we need another Gap, another William Sonoma, another Krispy Kreme. Well,
maybe a Krispy Kreme.

But Let's don't tear down the Raymond Theater.

There is plenty of room for the future and beyond.

This town has always been up around the front bumper of our culture. There is
no question about our capacity to advance and compete in any department.

What we certainly don't need is another paved paradise -

Let's preserve The Raymond Theater as the landmark it deserves to be!

Sincerely,
David Lee Roth

Miss February?! (I'm in a Dave state of mind)

Or, Dave's letter? Maybe February, 2001. (?)

I got it from the Raymond Theatre web site.

Yeah, from back then. I remember reading that in 2001 when it was news.
