Just got back from the DLR show. My ears are ringing, and I haven't really collected my thoughts yet, but I thought I'd tell y'all a little about it.

First off, Dave didn't say shit about VH. Not a peep.

Now that that's said, Dave was fucking awsome! In no way is Dave's ability to perform the reason there isn't yet a reunion!Dave's voice was on. He looked to be in great shape, and wasn't wearing the shiny suit for those of you that might be wondering.

Very surprisingly, ALAE was played over the PA while they were setting up the stage. It was your basic stage. The same kind of thing as last tour.

The band was very good. Bart didn't play Eruption exactly, but sort of a reworked version of it. Hence the Coniption tune in the setlist. You could tell where it came from, but it was different. Ray and the new guy did a great job on the backing vocals.

Dave sounded great. The setlist was good, and had everyone singing along. The crowd loved him!

I'll toss some more stuff out later, when my ears, back, and feet have had some time to stop aching.

two shows? I missed something somewhere...Where was the other one? Anyhow, I have to add that I lost my voice from screaming from the time the announcer said he was over behing that wall on the left to the very end. I now have no voice
MikeL, where were your seats? Mine were 7th row from the front on the left side near the isle...I don't think there was a bad seat in the house however...Now, I do have a question, HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SIT DOWN AT A CONCERT???? Did you see all those people up toward the front in the center sitting down while the show was going on? DAMN, how is that possible? There were about 3 rows sitting...

Nope, Yankee. The only solo tune he played was Tobbaco Road.

Yeah, so hopefully the naysayers who say Dave's voice is shot and he's finished will shut the f**k up now. But they'll probably go back and listen to their Finland boot and convince themselves they're still right.
Good to hear the reviews and stories guys, keep 'em comin' on in!

Man, I can't believe he doesn't do Yankee Rose. I hope by the time Rock Fest ( www.rock-fest.com ) rolls around he's doing it.

The crowd was there for Dave. He was the last act of the night. By the time he came on at 9, the place was packed. I have no idea how many people were there, but it was crowded. Tickets were $40 a piece.

Other bands were Great White (I didn't show up early enough for them), Warrant (they seemed a little lazy), BOC (not my kinda music, so I went and found some grub), and Jackyl. Jackyl sounded good and went over well with the crowd.

The response to Dave really surprised me. I didn't honestly think that very many people would be that excited about seeing him. I was really, really wrong. Dave was literally basking in the waves of adulation rolling over him through-out the show. You could just see him feeding off of it. There were no chants of 'Eddie sucks', or anything like that. Just 'Dave! Dave! Dave!' Really amazing.

As for the MP3s, I'm still working on them. I've gotta hear back from Jerel as to whether he's willing to host them on VHVault.com. They'll be available one way or another pretty soon.

That's weird. Why wouldn Dave want to play Tobacco Road instead of his best solo song (Yankee Rose)?
