When the new stuff is released - I am pretty eager to see the chain of events that lead up to the reunion (from the VH perspective).

Clearly a lot of people are going to want to hear VH's perspective and Dave's perspective.

Did Gary leave and Ed called Dave - or visa versa?

What did they say to each other when they finally got back together? Both sides will have to eat a few of their words (Ed with LSD - Dave with the shots he took in his book).

What really did happen in 96? Meaning the official word - not our speculations.

Who really made this come together? Did an outside source sit the three of them down and say "guys - lets make it work!"

What do you think?

I think that the 96 situation will be forever left a mystery in the sense that both sides will stick to their stories and just agree not to mention it. I can't see either side saying they were wrong in 96, so the only logical thing for them to do is just forget about it.

Your probably right Glenn - but ya gotta know people will keep picking at it.

DLR should write a follow up to CFTH with what happened from his perspective.

Mind you - WB will probably be releasing some VH books - stuff like that. It'll be interesting.

It's about time that a Van Halen photo album type book is released. I'm talking about a very thick book dedicated to rare and unseen photos of the band all the way back to their childhoods and the earliest days of the band.

Dude, we got the official word in '96. It sounded like BS then, and it still does.

Dave does go over the '96 events in CFTH.

Someone suggested that it may have been Gary who got the ball rolling.

I've always wondered that myself. Maybe
the 4 of them can schedule an interview with no holds barred on the questions. Sounds
like the WWF to me but hey, we might get
some answers.

By the way, when VH does release their next
album, I'd like to know who Sherman really
is. Lots of folks believe in what this person says. I still don't know who to
believe at this point.

Hey everyone,

I really doubt the 96' fiasco (and it was a fiasco) will get talked about publicly. What would they have to gain by talking about that.

I can hear Eddie now :
" we are happy to be togethor, and we dont want to talk about the past, just the new CD and tour..... blah , blah , blah

Hopefully they let Dave sell the band and let the boys plug in and play !

Hopefully they can all be one happy family again - NOT !!!

Thanks !!

This question is a no-brainer to me.

The person who made the call to reunite this band is the same person who fired Gary...

Warner Bros.

WB did not get rid of Gary and they did not make the call.

I kinda agree with Hal Apeno.

I think WB thought it would be a good idea, but I also thought that Ed and Gary had a mutual agreement that the VH3/Evh PROJECT was a complete failure and that they should not try again.

IMO

THANK GOD ! Hopefully Ed has since called DLR and decided to make it right for all us Old School VH fans.....

THANKS !

VH3 was not a complete failure, Thank you!!!
It was an experiment, something different and I along with MANY others enjoyed it. However, I will agree that is was a project. I think GAry and ED did agree to go their seperate ways. I suspect that they are still friends and have no illwill toward one another. Its no secret that GAry was onboard for exactly that, a PROJECT! The duration of which was probably left to fate. I only hope that things are progressing well at 5150. In closing, I'd like to reiterate my thanks to Gary for giving us, along with the rest of the Band, some great music in 98,99.

Gary's definately a stand up guy to admit he wasn't the best man for the job.
