Why not?? Why not release some old Dave and even Sammy live performances. You and I both know these guys have a buttload of tapes and stuff, so why not release them. Why not give the fans what they want second best if they cannot get along with a singer for 5 minutes?

Please, don't get me started on any VH4 crap. That is just what it is if they get anyone else back in the singer's booth at 5150. It's Roth or retire.
Van Halen without the original 4 is just not Van Halen.

No question. I think Pearl Jam did a great job with the concert series they released a few years back....
Q: Recording the album took so long your Australian tour last year was cancelled. What was it like in the studio? There's a history of tension between you and Eddie Van Halen...

I have often wondered why they don't release a live DVD from the Roth years. I have often wondered if it is because they feel they haven't got any flattering, professionally shot footage. The US Festival footage is pretty bad. I don't know if they shot the entire Oakland show that has been used as early promotional videos but I would sure like a clean DVD from the Fair Warning or WACF tours. Actually I'd love to see footage from '78 or earlier too!

At this point I think us fans would accept ANY footage of the original VH doin' their thing. I have a 10th generation shit copy of the US Festival, but I still LOVE watching that fucking thing. Anything that is offered by the original VH, be it "old" or new, good footage or handheld betacam footage will undoubtedly be added to my collection!! Long Live the MIGHTY VAN HALEN

See, I want those old concerts too, but sometimes the bootlegs on Ebay are going for too much and I don't want to risk spending too much money on a "shit copy".

I hear ya brother. I guess sometimes ya gotta take a risk if ya think the video/cd may be worth it. Would kick serious ass if the band(is there a band?!?) or WB records did give us an "official" release live dvd or something. Guess we'll have to keep on waitin'... Like we haven't been for years now anyway, right?!?

I'd love for them to release old concert footage. I have some bootlegs but it would be nice to see them 'cleaned up'.
