Love the album, never gets old for me. Sasquatch, im ripping off your idea of putting the instrumentals with their respective songs.

How Many Say I? is a great song. That's Ed speaking to us on his view of the world. Powerful stuff if you give it a chance.

I always said HMSI was a masterpiece which is an awesome finisher for the great album. But people are oblivious.

I agree, McLeud. I think the music is brilliant. I always agree with Edward's assessment on his singing on this tune....."a raspy sort of Tom Waite type of sound." The fact that it's VH may not appeal to everyone, but I don't understand how anyone can say the music isn't inspiring.

I like the way Ed kinda talk sings How Many Say I. Sure it may not be the best, but I can just picture Ed playing a piano in a bar wearing sunglasses with a cigarette burning in an ash trray on top of the piano. Good Stuff.

Well, I enjoy 3 a lot. I even bought that special metal box edition with a sticker and a guitar pick on it.

That's a different record, no doubt. Not the regular Van Halen stuff you would expect. Some pretty decent lyrics I must add.

When it 1st came out, I got a regular Cd and listened to it for almost a year. Since that, I think I came back twice and then never heard again - just a few tunes on Youtube.

Favourites? Let me see ... Once, Without You, Dirty Water Dog, From Afar, Ballot or the Bullet, One I Want, Josephina.

They were supposed to play in Brazil (03 dates (Curitiba/PR, Rio de Janeiro/RJ and S„o Paulo/SP and a secret gig in S„o Paulo as well) and I had scheduled watching my favourite band live for the very 1st time. But it didn't happen.
TT: "Wow, you can play acoustic guitar?"
    EVH: "Sure. What's the difference? It's got six strings... It's a guitar!" - 31.12.1978

The record hasn't aged well. Ed always liked progressive rock, but when he tried his hand at it, the different song sections don't work with each other, it's a mess.
