I can recall reading several VH album reviews in the past, where Ed was quoted decribing the songs on the record. Several times he said "this tune kinda has a 'Panama beat' to it.

Here's the three I can think of
1. Good Enough
2. Sucker in a three-piece (one of you thinks this is an awful tune, you've posted that time and time again.)
3. Dirty Water Dog (a tuned-down, more melodic version)

It sure would be nice to be talking about NEW songs instead of the same damn songs we've listened to OVER,and OVER again!
I'm sick of talking about the same old shit!

These are the topics we've been reduced to!

Everybody wants some! is a Pre-Panama song, same beat, and same type of guitar I guess.

No, that would be the Van Hagar song "Top of The World".

Sucker in a Cheese Plate was definitely a Panama ripoff.

"Sucker in a 3 Piece" really comes to mind.

I thought that when I first heard the "song".

Not one of VH's prouder moments for sure, YIKES !

Sorry but I love Sucker. Yeah the lyrics are lame but most of Sammy's were. Great musically and a bright spot on a shit record IMO.

"Sucker" is a "Panama" clone.

It even has the guitar rift after the solo, and this time, instead of Dave talking about "easing the seat back". You've got Sammy talking about, "Say it a'int so baby, you want a sucker?"

Many of you already know this, but Sucker is a reworking of I Want Some Action from the 5150 sessions...

I never noticed that before, thanks Scott!

Amazing how many tunes Ed has created out of that riff... Stompin' 8H and Dirty Water Dog are other examples.
