Caught it by accident, Van Halen was recognized as bringing hard rock from the 70's to the 80's. Quoted Richie Blackmoor saying Ed was one of the best in the world, showed a ton of DLR era clips, including what looked like an American Band Stand type performance clip of Cradle Will Rock. Was definitely giving the boys their props. Some good shit on that. DLR clip from Letterman from way back was pretty funny. ALL the interview type material was DLR. Didn't show any complete tunes or videos, just a bunch of clips as they were narrating. Very cool.

Saw it too man. It's about time. VH1 has got some stuff running all week, so hopefully we'll see more.

What year were they reviewing? I caught it when they were reviewing 1984 and they really didn't have any VH content in it.

I'm not sure it was a year. It seemed more like an overview, as they bounced around quite a bit on the VH content, showing stuff from 80 to 84.
