Any one hear the new Dave Matthews song? Before Kane even came on KROCK, I new this was a Glen Ballard production. You could just tell. It sounds very similar to Me Wise Magic and he distorts Dave's voice. Just goes to show what a great job he did on the short lived reunion. DMB new song sounds ok, very heavy for them. I wish Glen was producing for VH. Guess we will just have to wait.

First, welcome to the board KingEddie! Always nice to see a new user with a great post.

Second, I'll have to agree the Glen Ballard really heavied up the DMB. Almost drowns out Carters drums. They've never been that buried in the mix.

MWM, and CGTSNM, the gave Alex prenty of breathing space and a wide open sound. I wonder if Glen Ballard is currently working with the boys?

Ballard also walked out on the VD III sessions, claiming that his prior committments to Aeroshit and Alanis made it impossible to produce the Ray Danniels Project. Hell, I can't blame the guy, but I have a feeling Eddie wouldn't be calling him again.

I'm still hoping it's Van HALEN's 5th member Ted Templeman behind the boards

Van HALEN is: Dave, Eddie, Mikey, Alex. Any questions?

Hey Top...you'll be happy to know that I saw a little snippet of the "everyday" promo and Carter says he is pumped about his playing on the album. He says it is his best work on an album yet....I did it is definetly different for DMB but I think the song grooves....the new album will kick ass.

Hey Rat Salad and Top Timmy,

"I did it" is really growing on me, very heavy especially for DMB. It's going to rock live though.

Have you guys heard the other clips on Napster? They all sound great, can't wait for "Everyday" Feb. 27th.

As for my VH content, I think Glen Ballard is the best producer Van Halen has ever used. It's a damn shame he wasn't around for VH3, or will be in the future.
