Ed scored a movie before 5150. Throughout this movie Ed included riffs that eventually ended up on the first Sammy album but I can't remember which movie this was...also, I can't tell ya what movies Ed has scored so I am at a complete loss. I want to say the movie was "Hollywood Knights" with Tony Danza but I'm probably way off. Help please. TONY DANZY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    The seduction of Gina.

    The Seduction of Gina (1983)

    "Opening Theme" (Edward Van Halen)

    NOTES
Eddie wrote three synthesizer songs for this made-for-television movie, which starred Valerie Bertinelli as a compulsive gambler who cheats on her husband to earn money to gamble.
Eddie wrote the opening composition without ever seeing any footage of the film. Everything was written based on scene descriptions from Valerie (though he and Donn Landee were shown a rough cut of the film, it didn't help). The second and third pieces were for a driving scene and the ending credits, respectively.

If youre talking guitar riffs, then bingo, wild life would be it. I can't remember the them to the Gina movie, but I wouldnt be suprised to find some synth riffs that were used on 5150.

I have to agree...the movie was "The Wild Life" I have the soundtrack..on the actual soundtrack that was released Eddie did a song called "Donut City". An instrumental track. As far as the score of the movie, he did it all. Also, for those that might have an interest, I had lunch today with Steve Ripley, the inventor of the Ripley stereo guitar that Eddie used on "1984", he lives here in Tulsa....I asked if he had spoken with Eddie, he said about two months ago he had, and that there will be new music...but didnt say if it was movie related or VH related. He didnt want to talk about music very much..just a lunch among friends.

Anytime I see those movies (which isn't very often), I miss half the dialogue becaue I'm too busy listening to Ed.
